Purse Organizers: Organized Living in Fashion

You are all dressed and ready to go in your new brown boots and matching top.  Just as you are about to walk out the door you grab your black handbag and realize it does not go with your outfit.  Do you change your handbag?  You have so much stuff in there, you’re sure to forget something.  Not to mention what a pain it is….  Enter the purse organizer and you can change handbags in a snap.  Just lift your organizer out of your black bag and drop it into your brown one and you’re ready to go.

The purse organizer is a simple concept that makes a lot of sense.  It helps to keep your belongings organized and easily accessible in any handbag.  Organizers are available in many different shapes, styles and colors.  Some ladies are even bold enough to make them on their own.  Either way, women all over the world are realizing the benefits of this unique accessory.  Even the experts agree.   When sharing her top ten secrets to an organized life, Lara Greenburg, Better Homes & Gardens writer and professional organizer, said Purse Organizers  “give any purse an intelligently designed interior.”

There are two main designs of purse organizers on the market today: a strip organizer and a pouch.  Both serve a similar function and have their benefits.  When deciding which organizer works best for you, it is important to consider the type of handbag that you carry most often as well as its contents.

The strip organizer is simply a long strip of fabric lined with pockets.  They are available in small, medium and large with the size changing in the length of the strip.  The large is best for gym bags, carry-on bags and large purses while the medium and small work well for mid to small sized handbags and totes.   There are enough pockets on this strip to store your cell phone, wallet, makeup, camera, and any other items you tote around on a regular basis.  Some are more decorative than others and are available in different colors as well.

The other purse organizer is the pouch.  This pouch usually has some sort of handle or closure that allows you to secure the pouch closed when you are transferring it to ensure the security of your items.  The pouches will usually have dividers creating two or more sections, and also side pockets and slots for cell phone, credit cards and other smaller items.  The pouch is also available in a range of sizes from extra small to extra large.  The best way to decide on which size is best for you is to look through your closet and see what handbags you use the most.  This way it will fit in most of your bags, but if it is a tight squeeze into something a little bit smaller or allows for extra room in a larger bag it will still work.

If you are someone that likes to keep your smaller items stored together in separate pouches, then the pouch organizer is perfect for you.  For someone who has many small items that each needs their own place, then the strip is going to be best.    Regardless of your purse organizer of choice, there is no question that it will help make your life run a little smoother and help you stay more organized.
